Focus on Floristry

There are magnificent fresh flowers at every turn at #Focus16. They’re the work of Battersea-based Mary-Jane Vaughan, who has dressed the Design Centre’s domes in gravity-defying oversized vessels of hydrangeas, Tudor roses, snow berries, magnolia leaves and eucaylptus, tying in with the show’s wider colour theme of opulent purple and soft grey. In Salt Yard at the Tatler Restaurant, the palette is more autumnal, with crab apples and tawny foliage, chiming in with the burnt-orange banquette seating and metallic bar; while the Sky Terrace is adorned with lush orchids to reflect the ambience of the sun-drenched tables and tropical-print parasols.
