Creative collaborations are high on this season’s agenda. Take ‘English Ethnic’ where multi-talented artists Melissa White, Flora Roberts and Su Daybell worked with Lewis & Wood to produce a range of eclectic fabrics.

Specially commissioned for the show, Design Hub is the perfect place to converse, connect and create. The space linking the main domes and Design Centre East is a veritable hub of creativity. With excellent Wi-Fi you can catch up with emails, get inspired by the pinboards or stop for a well-deserved drink. Or just marvel at the butterflies and birds on the stylised mulberry tree.

We are all a flutter. Butterflies are winging their way to London Design Week 2014 and settling in the centre dome and the Design Hub. Get your net out and head to Fox Linton to catch ‘Butterfly House’, new from Jim Thompson.

Applause please…The World of Interiors have picked their favourite products from London Design Week 2014. Winners included Armani/Casa for the ‘Gamma’ lamp, Baker for the ‘Auguste’ chair by Jacques Garcia, Ann Sacks for ‘Eastern Promise’ tiles by Martyn Lawrence Bullard and Samuel & Sons Passementerie for the new trimmings collection. They were presented their awards by editor Rupert Thomas.
Emma Bridgewater teams up with Sanderson to launch her first collection of fabrics and wallpapers. It is a perfect reflection of the warm-hearted, informal style that has made her pottery a favourite in kitchens worldwide for nearly 30 years.
